Oil OK / Mileage

When you turn the ignition on you get the oil ok message but just recently, not all the time though, the mileage just comes up without the oil ok message? Is there a problem or am I doing something wrong? I'm not pressing anything when turning ignition on.

Mine hasn't worked for years. I wouldn't trust it anyway.
