Non sport gearbox question

hello i purchased the short-shifter out of the for sale section which came yesterday fitted it and after fitting the gear selection linkage dropped to the floor driving up the road managed to tow the car home and cable the linkage up , i found that the cir-clip that holds the nylon coupling that holds the selecting rod in the gearbox i was wondering where i can get the nylon casing that keeps the selector located in the gearbox as it lost when the linkage fell , also i need to find a way of securing it tighter so it doesnt fall out in future any help would be great thanks
