no power?

usually when i turn my car on the cd player comes on straight awat and the time is on the little dashboard screen but today my cd player won't turn on at all and the time only comes up when i switch the lights on
im really confused :S im going to start at the fuses but anyone else have any other ideas?

check the fuses, think it might be in with the cigarette lighter fuse
