Hi everyone,
I would have preferred to introduce myself before asking for help straight away, but I’m hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.
I’ve recently bought a 2002 Clio 172. It had a small bump when I bought it, so I’ve been doing a few bits to it. I’ve replaced things like the front lights, bumper and a few other bits as part of that.
I’ve also just fitted a new battery and the car started and ran fine afterwards. I drove it on several moderate length trips (45 - 80 mins) so it should have had a decent charge.
However, I left the car for two days and the battery is now completely flat.
I would say nothing obvious was left on (interior lights etc.), and everything seemed normal when I parked it. The headlights I fitted seem to be working normally as well.
Has anyone experienced something similar on these cars, or have any ideas what might be causing a battery drain like that? I’m wondering if it could be something related to the lights, alternator, or something else common on these. I have read that the interior boot light or immobiliser could have caused this.
Thanks in advance.
Ryan
