New 172 owner with supersprint

Hello all.

Ive just swapped my stage 2, VX220 Turbo with mailto:m@tthew">m@tthew for his modded 172.

Ill probably be selling it on shortly but was considering keeping it until after Christmas.

It has head and cam work and a 70mm SuperSprint exhaust which I am finding a bit loud. What would this thing be worth to sell in order for me to get something quiter (maybe even a stock system) ??

beacytan, yes there was also an amount of money involved in the swap.

The Clio 172 isa lovely car, I just have to get used to the lack of power.



What kind of price would one of these SS exhausts go for?

There doesnt seem to have been any sold on here which I can gauge a price from

put it up for offers i would presume it would fetch a strong price as you cant get them anymore and people are desperate to get hold of them. new they are about £450 IIRC

if I still had my 172 I would have had this from you, the K-tec wasnt quite loud enough

Was the K-tec much louder than the standard exhaust?

I quite like the idea of the K-tek stealth system with sports cat

it was the twin 3" I had from the cat back and yes it was loud, sold it on to someone from here forgot who it was though?!?!?!

Maybe I should get a standard system and a sports cat ?



Im assuming this would give maximum gains whilst still remaining quiet and not being too restrictive for the modified engine.
