Need Your Opinion/Help

  Titanium F/F 182
I'm in the market for a new car. Possibly buying within the next month. I have a list and sat proudly on top is a Clio 182. Going by past experience I have covered just shy of 40k miles in 3 yrs. What I want to know is what shape will a Clio be in after this time/milage. As I have done with my last car it will be properly serviced and I don't drive like a banshee (well not all the time). I've driven a few 182's over the last couple of weeks but they have all been under 10000 miles so any rattles and squeaks have been minor. I'm in a pug 306 at the mo so I know the frogs like to make cars that sound like they are 20 meters from falling to bits.:D
Has anybody covered this type of milage? Has anybody in a 172 had theirs for more than 3yrs? Is a 182 a good everyday car?

Your help is appreciated and your answers could sway me in to RS ownership.

Other cars on the list are a Leon Cupra 18.T (180 bhp) and a Hyundai Coupe 2.0. Thoughts on these also welcomed.

Thanks

Alright mate .

My last car was a mk2 172 and covered 48k miles in 4 years with no real problems , yeah they rattle a bit but like ya say its French .
I've just got myself a new full fat 182 with cup packs and i have to say it handles alot better than my 172 did even though the 172 was pretty good i sorta got bored with it .
The 182 has given me a new enthusiasm :)
I'd go for a full fat 182 with cup suspension unless you wanna throw some money at it at upgrade the suspension which alot of people seem to do , but i'm quite happy with the cup suspension .And yeah its a good everyday car , i average 12k a year .

Welcome to CS, as a past(and present) 306 owner you wont be making a bad move making the change. Being practical you may miss the extra space the 306 gives you though, but everything else should outweigh that.
