More Power @ 5k Revs

I have recently brought a 172 exclusive. when i first brought the car i noticed the car has alot more power when you hit 5k revs and would pull alot quicker.

Is this normal as i have noticed that it doesnt seem to do it anymore.

Yes, it's to do with the power curve of the engine.

It will still be doing it, you'll just be used to it.

I have noticed that the throttle cable is on the last setting and the cable still has some slack on it, do you think this will effect the performance and how easy would it be to change it

the car is fly by wire...
there is no throttle cable.

Ph1's like the exclusive were cable, Ph2 onwards are fly-by-wire
