lowering springs

ive just got a set of lowering springs fitted on my car, they are 40mm, cant notice that much of a difference though. Does anyone know if they settle because the mechanic said they do???

They will settle a little bit. But only by a couple of mm.

You're either blind and can't notice the difference, your mechanic has charged you for not fitting anything or you've bought springs that said they lower 40mm when they don't.

Where did you get the springs from? Second hand?

40mm is fairly big difference. Doesn't sound like it in the grand scheme of things, but even getting into the car and sitting down should feel different.
