Lowering 172

  Flamer ph2 172
I want to lower my 172 ph2 can this be done by just buying springs or do you have to buy coilies? I'm on a tight budget and obviously springs are cheaper but is just getting springs is going to bugger up the standards shocks? And whats the cheapest decent set looking for about at least 40mm drop

Cheers in advance

honestly do not get just springs. the ride becomes unbearable if you live anywhere where the road is not perfect. cheap coilovers start at about £400 then rise dramatically for the "better" named brands, to the regen of £1200+
