lower temp thermostat

my 1800 used to have a much lower operating temp then the williams engine, if there are no side effects then i would like to reduce this, i have seen that BB sell a lower tmep stat. but euro also do two one that opens at 83 and one at 89 does the one BB offer simply open at 83 which is just a stat from a R5 etc.

also how dificult is it to fit? and do you need to drain the system?

u need the 82oc/83oc one, easy to do and mine def runs a lot cooler than it used to, i did not get mine from bb either, found it at halfords accidently, well worth doin if u got a hot running 16v/willy
