Limp Mode!

Hi Guys,

Having a bit of a problem atm. Car cut of about 3 times earlier in the week slowing down at traffic lights. then last night was going into limp mode then cutting out when I was slowing down. Happened about 6 times. Engine management light has now come on. I managed to get it to my gf, and had to drive home this morning. The EM light is still on but it didnt go into limp mode on the way back to mine.
When i started it, it was revving itself to like 1.5-2k? but when I got home (10 miles) was idling ok?

Not sure what the problem is, I did some reading up on other people problems and it could be coilpacks, loose wires, ECU problem, Throttle body, etc. but i need to get the fault read. I could just get my pants pulled down at Renault Chester (3 miles away) and leave it on the way to work.
Or what i would prefer is to take it to Birchdown (been before) but as I cant take the time off work struggling to get it there.
Or could take it to my local Garage but they will only have a generic reader?
what to do. Anyone in Chester who has access to CLIP fault reader?

I had the same problem mate and it turned out to be a faulty spark plug.

Your best bet if you don't no what your doing properly, is to take it to birchdown.

Yeah think It is the best bet! Just need to work out when and how as work b*****d long hours 8-7
