lending the money

at the minute i have had 4 cars and im only 19 years old...

my first was an n reg fiesta
my second was a fiat bravo
my third was a saxo vtr

they have all pretty much fallen apart... and me (and my dad) want me to get something more reliable... 5 or 6 of my mates have clios and they never seem to have any problems i can afford the insurance on a 1.6 i dnt think so im gonna have to do with a 1.2 black dynamiqe... what you recon?

The saxo vtr is a 1.6 though, surely the clio 1.6 wouldn't be as much to insure, or be about the same? Or you want to get something that is cheaper? Otherwise the 1.4 might be better, as the 1.2 would seem a bit slow after having a 1.6.

Try getting some online quotes - depends on your age and circumstances really. If it doesn't make much difference then the 1.6 might be the better option, otherwise stick with a 1.2/1.4

Depends what sort of driving you do.

1.2 is great for nipping around town, and you're never going to see the benefits of a 1.6, but if you're doing more miles and motorway journeys etc a lot I'd prefer the bigger engine.

You've said you had 4 cars but only listed 3!
Get a 1.2 16v dynamique until your 21 then a renaultsport thereafter, insurance will be a hell of alot better provided you dont have accidents

enjoy life while you can but dont go into silly debts either spned only what you can afford , so buy a ferrari  on your credit card

i open a new thread and out of the 72 million brits ure always like the 1st to reply haha

72 million? There aren't that many!

And why do people always go on about engine size and insurance? It's the insurance groupings which matter (which take into account performance, safety, desirability etc).

For example a Ford fiesta 1.25 has the same ins. group as a 1.8 astra petrol or a 2.0l diesel golf!

My advice is to try and get quotes for the cars you (realistically) want and you might be surprised by what you can insure. :D

and u dnt want me get a car as fast as urz
I always come on when you've made a thread about doing a bloody replica or getting a clio! Get a 1.6 like mine, you've loved it everytime you've been in it, then you can be like chris, mike and jayne having replicas if you want thereafter! My insurance in £900 a year and im 18..as you already know!
