LED Sidelight problem..

just fitted some LED sidelights, apparently they are canbus ready according to the eBay seller.

However, all lights work normally with the engine off, ie sidelights come on when they are selected and dipped beam comes on when selected. But when the engine is running and no lights are selected my dipped beams come on :s

Any ideas? The LEDs are canbus ready, but I have a feeling they could be at fault.

Oh, and the clock reset itself and the stereo won't work, no radio or cd player

Help is appreciated.

Is this for a Clio?

The Clio doesn't need Canbus LED's as far as i know. Only BMW, Merc ect.

Wonder if Canbus LED's in a non Canbus car would make a difference?

Not to sound daft but it's not maybe the auto lights coming on now that it's dark?

I'm pretty sure i dont have auto lights

also, that wouldn't explain why the cd player/radio isnt working, although i disconnected the battery to swap the bulbs, surely that wouldn't break the cd player and radio?

Just had a little mess around inside the car. The radio comes up and flashes 'CODE' and then '0000' and looks as if it wants me to enter a 4-digit code. Can anyone help me with this? Where can I find the code?

And as to auto-lights, can anyone tell me if Dynamiques came with auto-lights as standard, because if they did mine have never worked until now lol.

It's the auto lights. Dynamique has them as standard. To turn them off-turn on ignition and turn sidelights on/off repeatedly until you here a beep. Usually 4 on/offs. Code is in the service book.

Disconnecting the battery would have reset the auto lights back to the default 'on' mode, really easy to turn back off as stated above. It would have also meant the stereo lost power, similar to unplugging the stereo which sends it into security mode, the code is usually print in the service book as again stated above or on a little card.

Might be worth reading the audio manual as this will tell you have to input and activate the code.

I thought I had auto lights, sure I read in the advert before I bought the car that it came with them, but they never did come on.

The previous owner must have switched them off, then the must have reset back on as i reconnected the battery this evening!

Cheers lokqust! Btw, I'm from Dundee too lol, live down south now cos I'm in the Forces :)
