Laminated Windscreen

Anyone have any experience with Lexan or Perspex or any non glass windscreens? I'd like to know what they're like for scratching, is there a film or anything that you can stick on to protect them and prevent any issues? Also what is the weight saving over a standard glass windscreen?

I'm only interested in the windscreen as the rules state:

I'm also assuming this means perspex/lexan/glass alternatives are allowed, unless there's another definition of 'laminated windscreens'

Marguard or another mar resistant polycarbonate is the best option for a plastic screen but even then they still scratch.

This company specialise in lighter weight glass windscreens. They don't offer a Clio one but might be able to if you ask.

I was looking at one for my M3, saves 3kg over standard.
