K tec stealth help

[Rumour control]

I recived my new k tec stealth system today and went to get it fitted earlier.The guy at the exhaust place said i need a gasket to go between the cat and the middle section.is this true?i didnt get a gasket in the box when i opened it.Can anyone help?

If hes a good exhaust fitter he should have the gasket you need. If not take it somewhere else.

id just bong a load of putty/silicone on that joint

black silicone RTV sealant will take the heat and is easier to use (a la fred).....

dont use putty anymore, its hard and white and cracks with age....

rather like something else i can think of......
