just a quicky about 172.182 cams.

  MKIII 138

are they easily detectable. i.e if your car was a write off and you had it replaced with a new one would someone go to the trouble of checking what type of cams your engine had ?? i hardly think they would but anyways..

can you remap the standard ECU to accept the new cams and if you did this what gains could be had ( not bothered about other ecu options)

I find that JUST cams by themselves are very dissapointing to the owers after all that money has been spent.

The gains are not realised because the manifold is so restrictive, so restrictive infact that the std cams are good for 200bhp+.

Declare all mods. What if your cambelt went then some sucker rearended your car while you were sitting on the hard shoulder?
then the other persons insurance would be paying out surely, so not a problem?

theyd hardly check your engine (internals anyway) anyway if someone crashed into you, regardless of why you were stopped.

just a few points to throw into the argument! lol
