Its been an exspensive month!!

Iv only had my clio a couple of months, but its left me totally skint!! ( 02 1.2 16v dynamique)

This month has been a nightmare!

1) first there was a problem with the imobilliser, which thankfully the RAC fixed but had to get a new battery etc

2) second, and worst, as it is 5 years old next week, i decided to have the cambelt done. Which consisted of cambelt, water pump, some other belt, and they found the temp sensor? was leaking so i had that replaced. Also the sensor in the boot was fooked so had that replaced

3) Lastly i had my M.O.T. done today, and failed on handbrake, cv joint?, something else and needed all new tyres

also somebody has kindly keyed it so need to get that sorted!!

i suppose i cant really complain as it was my own problem for not researching enough when i bought the car, but its still a pain and has left me with absolutely no money!!

just take it as a warning for people are looking to buy a 5yr old clio or similar!

rant over

Aye just service items really. Mine needs a rear wheel bearing, but both discs look shabby, so i'm replacing both bearings, rear pads and disks, oil change + filter, aux belt.

Never wants for anything my car :)

try owning a 13 year old valver!

there is that, least it goes at a good pace wen its running though.

i wouldnt be too bothered about the 2 tyres and bearing

but the uninsured driver and 1 of the tyres getting damaged thru sum1 else being a dick has done me over tbh

Mine is like triggers brush, other than the engine and a couple of pannels, I think every possible part has been replaced at some time in the last 5 years I've owned it.

It pays to spend the money tho IMO, mine has (touch wood) been pretty reliable, only ever had 2 brake-downs, one was a dead battery and another was seized brake drums.

lol

List for past 2 months:

- Rear quarter damage, replaced panel + paint + Decal and fitted = £1095
- Front Brakes and front left tyre needed replacing = £155
- Airbag in drivers seat, frame bent so opted for new leather interior = £300
- Having a hairdressers car BUT I love it! = Priceless! :)

My old 19 was like this, money pit.

Saying that I'd hate to add up how much I've spent on the 172 excluding servicing!
