Wednesday 9th June – Was on works business @ Portsmouth Naval base today which was interesting – had a nosey around a couple of warships…
On the way home on the M40 / A34 spotted a couple of tasty convoys blasting the other way, One consisted of several Porkas including a couple of 911 ragtops, a 911 speedster (v’rare with the low windscreen & clamshell back) a 911 GT3RS (White with the tacky red lettering on the side) & the best bit’s – TWO F40 Ferraris & a NEW ford GT40…..!!! The next convoy spotted about 15 mins later had ANOTHER F40 – an original GT40 in full racing livery & about a dozen different Caterhams – of various sorts R400 / R500 superlights ect……. They must have been tonking towards the coast me-thinks for Le-Man.
To top the day off! I get an invite for me & my boss to go to another Palmersport day in July @ Bedford (4th one!) So I can see if I can beat my lap times in the Cup racer (although the west circuit has now been slightly lengthened…)
Oh life is a b1tch sometimes! – I am off on holiday for 2 weeks on Sunday…. Free beer & England trying to play footy… happy joy joy happy!
