Immobiliser problem

Hi all i have a year 2000 1.4 8v sport clio, I droped the key the other day and a chip in the fob has broken that operates the central locking the cars immobiliser wont disarm now i got a 4 digit code that can be entered to disarm the immobiliser my problem is i dont know how to enter it i tryed holding the central lock button in the car with no joy the light on the dash just keeps flashing ive held the throttle pedal and the button on the washer stalk wich hasnt worked ether. if i hold the central lock button when the igniton isnt turned on the light on the dash will go still and wont flash slowly any ideas guys ?? all your advice would be greatly appriciated renault are chargeing me 225 for the key and i just cant afford it
