Idiot needs advice.

Ok so lets just say i f**ked up fitting my BMC CDA and now cant attach it or the k&n its replacing. I need to buy a samco induction hose but cant get one today but will need my car tomorrow.

Is there any way i can use the car - i thought about just bunging a sock over whats left of the current induction hose pipe in place of the airfilter as a short term botch job?

Can't you duck tape the old hose back together?

I drove my 205GTI for 60k miles with a cone filter with a big hole in, in the days before I worried about such things.

Basically cut too much off the old induction hose in a stupid attempt to fit the BMC. I Cant fit either the BMC or the K&N in to whats left of the pipe, its too narrow. Could possibly use duct tape to attach it back on.

I should stick to fixing computers and leave the car to someone esle!!

Sorted - found some old hose type material and with the help of a few jubilee clips have botched the k&n back on. You live and learn!!
