I love my 182 but.......

Two months after getting it I have a list as long as your arm of faults and niggles. I know some say that you get what you pay for but in my world £12,500 is a lot of dosh and the little things are really getting me down -

so far -Christmas lights (abs, esp and serv dash lights)

Xenon alignment problem (sorted myself after advice on this forum)

Clutch pedal clicking, creaking and lateral movement (driving me mad)

Very badly aligned bodywork (rear unit very proud of wheelarch)

More shakes and rattles that you can shake a stick at!

Steering wheel off centre and clunking from steering column

Front passenger seat belt not locating into buckle (Wont stay in)

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST but Ive just got back from a long round trip and the above have seriously annoyed me! Love the performance though!

Feel for you.

Had mine since May 2004 and apart from the obligatory rattles havent had anything go wrong with it.

My old 172 had the abs and airbag light problem but *touches wood* i havent so far on the 182.

Totally agree with the performance...big smillies :)

Yer for all the faults the performance very nearly compensates :) You tried taking it to dealer for repairs under warranty yet m8?

Still ranting .......!

I had a pug GTi 1.9 many years ago (more years ago than I care to remember). It was an absolute peach, no probs at all, I drove it hard and it was ab fab! not even any dash rattles.......... Havent we come a long way!!

Ive been avoiding booking it in up til now beacause I thought I could live with it, but after the last few days Im defo booking it in. The silver lining is this forum and I will be able to tell the dealer what to do as far as fixes are concerned!! Thanks to all the experts on here, especially Mike from Liningtons.

Alot better than the clio lol, i thort it was broke when i started it an it didnt rattle!!

Thing is once you get the clio sorted its a bargain, im lucky my cars are my play things , i dont need/use them for work so it wasnt a big problem to me.

Its just the gettin them sorted thats the prob!! But they are a brilliant car when theres no problems

Have to say I am very tempted by the new Festa ST, looks good but I reckon therell be an RS Festa before long and then I might just take the plunge. Have to say I was anti-ford until recently and my doris got a new fiesta. I cant believe how well screwed together it is and ......... no warranty probs in 18 months!!
