Hub Change - Easy Enough Job?

As the title says how easy is it to change the n/s front hub on a phase 2 172? Just changed the wheels and noticed one of the bolt holes is knackered so I think I'll need to change the hub

straight forward mate there is a huge nut underneath the cap in the centre of the hub.

a screwdriver should take the cap off, then you just need the socket to fit on that nut, once that nut is off you should be able to pull the hub off (though a slide hammer is useful at this point... hey presto old hub off

ignore that... thats the rear hub (drum)

think its fairly simple on the front though mate, take off the wheel, take off the disc and have a look (think its still one large nut iirc)

You'll also have to disconnect all front suspension components:

Two big bolts on front strut
Balljoint
Track rod?

i always thought it was an easy job consult the haynes? if not il have a look in my haynes tomorrow for ya

surely the hub isn't attached to the suspension, track rod etc? not a pro but sure the hub can be separated from the car without having to disconnect all that?

Oh and the brakes need to come off too.

thanks? and my apologies was still picturing rear hub -.- in my defence though it is gone midnight, forgot the hub at the front consists of the whole stub axle... but yeah easy job regardless... wheel off, caliper and disc off, 2 bolts for bottom of suspension, 1 bolt for track rod end, careful with the ball joint and disconnect the wiring. then reverse to re-fit new hub
