How to get cheaper car insurance

My car insurance is due next week so ive been phoneing around to get the best quotes.

Best i could get was £320 fully comp with direct line, not too bad i thought, then they asked me if i lived with a partner and would she like to be put on the policy.

Why not i thought and asked how much extra it would be.

They put her details in and the quote came back as £280,WHAT i said is that right it,s cheaper with her on the policy as a named driver.

Yes they said it,s cheaper with a woman on the policy(something to do with calming the male driver down i suppose).

So the moral of the story is, if you are living with a lass and your policy is up for renewal ask to put her on and see what they say, GOOD LUCK BOYS.

Yup, found this one out last year, thought for a laugh Id try and get quotes to add my younger less experienced driver girlfriend and it dropped mine by £200 as well. Just have to keep reminding them they may be insured but theres no way theyre borrowing it! lol

come on guys, didnt u know that? the reason being, that women r better drivers therfore are lower risks to the insurance company! well they havent seen the woman who cuts me up every thursday like clockwork!

Some companies wnt more for adding any other driver it all depend they want £300 for my parents on the insurance. I was suprised as I was only going to add them to save some money.

Women and men have pretty much the same amount of accidents.

However, when a woman crashes its not nearly as bad as when a bloke does. I.E men crash properly!
