How do I rip audio from a webcast?

Call me old fashioned, but I just loop a wire from my motherboard's audio out socket to the audio in and use windows sound recorder.

Pretty much what Audacity does except it just records the source without having to loop any wires. Haven't done it for a little while but it's not difficult to sort out.

You just have to select stereo mix from the drop down menu in the main screen, hit record then open up whatever you're recording from.

Make sure you start recording before you set the source to play as sometimes this creates an error if you play the sound source first.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net is the link but seems to be down
