Me and my girlfriend go on holiday to cornwall, thinking "this is going to be an awesome holiday". We can't get into our caravan until 3 oclock so we go to a beach. Left the car for half an hour and came back, and what do i find? All of my automatic transmition fluid ALL over the floor - at the time i just thought nothing rele of it so i started up the car and tried to move it so i cud have a look underneath, into reverse, foot down - nothing happened...
I call the breakdown service they pick us up and took the car into their garage and have a look - i ring back the next day (tuesday) and no i need a new gearbox :dapprove:
So, me and my gf got a lift with my car back to our home in leicester and she's now at an automatic gearbox specialist - has anybody got any idea how much i'm likely to be spending on getting either 1 - the old autobox fixed, or 2 a "re-con" autobox being put back in my car for it to work???
Any help would be appretiated as this car has a lot of sentimental value to us.
Cheers
