This morning on my way to work I noticed that my car seemed to shake quite a bit whilst accelarating through the lower ranges of the rev counter. Above 2000 revs this seemed to be ok and the car would drive smoothly.
I did notice there was a problem as the car was jumping about when trying to accelarate.
About half a mile away form my work the engine warning light came on and started flashing on the rev counter so I decided not to chance it and walk the last half mile.
Any thoughts or ideas about what this can be - a woman at my work said she had a similar problem with her scenic but can remember what was replaced.
Is the car okay to drive with the warning light on?
