Yeah, just not sure, that gold button looks dodge, I got burnt with ripspeed (it kinda reminds me of it). Just put in a nice set of In Phase XT6CII's, am thinking sub, maybe FLI 12"....... just dunno whether to get a passive boxed sub and get an amp to power the inphase and sub or just get an active sub.... but wanna sort the head unit first....
Tbh i don't really trust stuff that comes over from china. You can get the occasionally good thing but often you'll find the circut boards look more like corn flakes and they seem to go wrong quicker than a nice alpine unit would.....
Do you know what the standard head unit power is, im just wondering if a 45/50 watt head unit will be alot more better in powering the set of inphase I have.
keep away from ripspeed. your asking for trouble lol. not sure on the specifics of the std HU but i noticed that when i bought my alpine the music was alot more clearer and crisp/ it was also a little louder then before
Erm, it depends how much you want to spend, you can run the front speakers well off the head unit, but when u turn the volume up they will distort, if you had an amp, they would be a little louder but the sound quality would be improved.
If you want to run a sub, i'd suggest an amp really, as although you could run the sub off the head unit it would be foolish.
