Headlight washers

Hi,

Could someone tell me how to get the headlight washers to work on a mk 2 172 02 reg?. they do not work at all with the lights on or not.

the bloke i bought it iff said he had the front bumber changed cos he ran over a cat. could they have not connected them up?

They only work when the headlights are on iirc and you have to hold it more than 2 seconds

sounds right to me, if you dont hold the stalk for long enough they dont spray.
