Gearknob and Gaiter

Its not easy! Basically you are gonna have to go some with a hacksaw and/or a stanley knife and destroy your existing knob and gaiter before you can get em off! Then youll be able to clamp the new knob on over the metal stick at the top of the gear-stick thats left using the grub screws (make sure its lift-reverse!). Fitting the gaitor should be straight forward enough if it comes with a screw down frame to go at the bottom.

try heating the old knob up for ages with a hairdryer then twisting it as hard as you can.

You might make a bit of a mess on the carpet by the way.

has anyone got any pics of a changed gearknob and gaiter in a clio? Just so i know if attacking my car with a saw is worth it!!!
