I suspect my manual gearbox has a leak as the gear noise increases as I turn corners and go up hills. Burnt oil can be smelt in the car. No oil is found on my drive so the leak is considered minor. General forum advice recommends filling the gearbox. I will do this but I cannot identify where the filler point for the gearbox is on this model. I note there is a filling point (see image) http://i1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff363/mark1brituk/IMGP1596.jpg that the leak appears to be originating from. I know little of this vehicle type and presume it to be the clutch fluid filling point. At the end of the day I suspect a major and expensive drive train issue needs to be addressed. I thought I'd start with the cheapest possible remedy. Please identify the component in the image and where the filler point for the gearbox is. If any of you can identify the possible reasons I'd appreciate that. Go easy guys, you're not exactly dealing with Edd China Bsc.
