Gear lever movement when putting on the power

I've noticed recently that my gear lever move about quite a bit more than it used to when putting my foot down.

It's either a load of rubbish and I'm imagining it or could it be something like a mount wearing out?

Also feels a bit slack compared to what it used to.

same problem as im having, but mine is because i just got used to having a nearly new corsa lol. i'm going to be swapping my gearbox oil, and then either leaving it if its better, or looking into changing the gearbox mount.

Let me know how it goes :p

Mines going into the garage for something else next week so might get them to look at it then as well.

Doesn't happen in my other half's micra :)

Are there not buffers or rubbers of some description in the gear lever mounting/housing to stop the vibration?

Happens in all Clios to my knowledge. Wouldn't really notice on small petrols as there's no torque, but on the diesel for instance there's a good inch or so of movement when nailing it.
