I ordered a GDI exhaust system in the group buy and had it fitted today, the jouney was long and frustrating, took 3 1/2 hours from j10 M25,
but definetly well worth it!
was really good to actually watch the exahaust going on.
I also got a chance to see the GDI 182 and went for a ride in it, that is an awesome car! i have to get those coilovers!!!!!
as for the exhaust system, a really nice peice of kit! very well made and has just recently been improved!
noise: I find the noise great, its loud when you are in a low gear at about 3-4k revs, but when you put your foot down it sounds great, and when your cruising on the motorway at about 80, the noise is definetly not too loud.
the sound when reving through the gears is amazing - sounds great,i dont know what it would be like with a cat since i had a decat fitted as well which probably makes it a fair bit louder
performance: definetly noticed an increase in acceleration, revs right upto the limmiter now, power delivery is smother and feels like it has more torque.
i havnt tried any other systems but as far as this one goes, for allround performance, sound and a great service i dont think you can really beat it,
there was a bit of a wait but that was down to the suppliers so not their fault
my only complaint is that now i have to spend £1k on coilovers after going for a spin in the gdi 182.
