what would be the advantages of fitting a uprated fuel pump to my 172 if any

i've only seen a few clios with uprated pumps, 2 had audi TT engines running silly bhp, and the others are the k-tec/bbpt turbo cars

the stock pump will do 260bhp, IIRC its 3.5bar

it doesn't exactly bolt in! LOL

we ran 240bhp on the stock pump and it was fine
