front shocks gone?

What are the tell-tale signs of the front shocks gone?

my front drivers side is sqeeking a fair amount when going over bumps... and im all set to buy some new shocks. How can i tell it this is whats wrong?

currently on apex springs, but did the same on the eibach pro's. Got some Eibach sportlines to go on now, just need time to fit them.

Best way is to push the car corner down and let go see how long it takes for the car to stop shaking up and down it should just raise back up and go down to the normal position.
