Free Video editing software

Anyone know any good ones? Basically want the one that comes with windows to work with a larger file, ones i've got off the net are awful, just want to be able to cut bits out of a long video.

Why doesn't windows movie maker work . If you import a video it splits it into clips , then you just drag n drop whatever clips you want onto the timeline .

How bigs the video ?

Videos are 300-400mb each, yeah it imports them then splits into clips, but each clip is about 2 mins long and is audio only.

It works perfect on smaller videos

Thats weird . I've used it to split larger files and it saved them as edited video with audio .

what format is the video in
avi and i would use nandub, which is a variation of Virtualdub.

yeah they are .avi files, i'll give nandub a go.
