Clio DCI
Im doing a current audio build in my 2002 clio dci 80bhp car and need to install a screen as i have a 80gig 2.5" removable hard disk drive installed in my car with video's & music etc. Basically i got fed up with cd's flying around the car, and getting damaged so i went down the hard drive route. I have made a custom fiberglass panel for the hard drive etc, but need a screen so i can see the display.
I was tempted in buying a JVC dvd screen built into the front facia due to it being an easy option with a video in on the rear.
Although now i am tempted on a DVD playing unit, with a seperate screen like my previous clio. Ive been put off the moveable facia h/u's as ive had a JVC in the past, and it decided to break down a few weeks after owning it.
On my dynamique clio i fiberglassed a one off housing in the dashboard for the 7" monitor, and it looked brill, but this isn't an option on my current clio.
The only option's i really have is to either install a JVC headunit (hmm), fit a small screen near the gearstick (hmmm) or finally to replace the large plastic part i have on the rooflining with the interior lights on with a flip down screen.
Does anyone know of any screens that are pratically a straight fit, or will i have to make a custom base to hold the screen on? any help would be great, was interested in a 7" roof mounted screen.
