fitting cold air feed / removing old air feed pipe

was wondering is it ok to remove the air feed sensor? seen this when i had my bumper off the other day and its in the way of fitting a cold air feed pipe if i remove will it make lights come up on my dash? thanks

I took mine off just leaving the horn down the bottom so I could run the cold air feed from the front lower grille. All still running ok so you should have no problems

Remove it, its caused me no probs.
And its called an acoustic valve ;)
Just remember to tape up the electrical connector with electrical tape to stop s**t getting onto contacts and tie it up out of the way.
Also block off the vacuum pipe with a screw or similar (just slightly bigger than pipe) or your idle will be all over place :(
