Had to nip out to sainsburys so thought i's give the 197 a quick look since i was in the area.
My loca lRenault had a red and a metallic blue one. Both colours looked very nice. Especially the red imo.
I was a bit indifferent on the 197 when i first saw pictures of it on cs. But it had started to grow on me quite a bit. I think the 197 looks soooooo much better in the flesh. Nicely flared arches and i think it looks in good proportion. But thats just my opinion and no doubt others won't like it.
So i was pleased with the outside, what about the interior?
Even better!!! The main two things that impacted on me first was the massively improved seats and the steering wheel. The seats actually really hug you and you feel really secure in them. I would have to sit in the option recaros (if/when that happens...) but i don't think i would be swayed to have recoars at an extra cost as i tihnk the standard seats are that good.
The steering wheel was lovely to hold. very impressed withthe material. ALthough i would be concerned about what it looks like with some wear on it.
Apart from that the rest of the cabin felt very nice and relatively solid. I like that it is a bit larger inside and that the boot is a reasonable size also, but that ain't why you buy an RS! lol
I am going for a test drive on the 13th to see what it is like to drive. The ultimate test! The salesperson said it was a bit softer than the 182 (we all knew that!) to drive. I'll wait till i drive it myself, but on first impressions it looks like a very special car imo.
All depends on how it drivess! I may well think it sucks! we will wait and see.
