FINALLY!!!
got my car back last night after the cambelt failed back in december, £1535 down (included front discs and pads and MOT and rebuild for the belt failure..
but the smile on my face is back. although nothings ever smooth sailing for me when it comes to cars. On my way back from the garage ive decided it either needs a gearbox mount or an engine mount?

when i was in slow traffic, lifting off the gas or reaching biting point i was getting a knocking noise from either the engine or gearbox? not sure which it will be though,any ideas?

The very FIRST thing i would do is to call the garage and tell them what it is doing! Unless this was an issue before, it is possible they have not put it back together correctly (unlikely).

Most likely cause will be the dogbone mount, or gearbox mount.... speak to the garage and get them to look at it first. You never know, they may offer to help

if it is worn, then uprate the mounts

yea thats the thing for rebuilding the top end for a cambelt failure i wouldnt of ever thought it was the garages doing!? they wouldnt need to touch any mounts surely?
