Fan belt adjustment?

Right, my Mum's got an M Reg MK1 automatic.

The fan belt is slipping and making a screeching sound.

How do I go about tightening it?

Any help would be great.....

Is it a 1.4 Auto? If so they had 2 belts mate, both easy to tighten if you have a trolley jack and a spanner set. Alternater belt is to the back, PAS belt to the front, both work on manual tension (Ie, Move the PAS pump towards the front and tighten it, same concept for the alternater belt)
