the lengths you have to go to to get your exhaust to sit right i had to do this on both brackets

and yes my exhaust does look a bit worst for wear :approve:

i think some people put a socket in the rubber where the mounting bar thing sits

That looks about right. There are times where a socket under the exhaust rubber just doesn't cut it, I think I had about 11 cable ties under mine at one point.
