Exhaust Sleeve, possible? (diagram included)

Right heres the situation, had my exhaust stolen some time ago, and went back to standard, when i fitted the modified exhaust...

The car was still on its original exhaust so it was necessary to cut the old one off at the right point to sleeve the new one on (fig 1), but then when i got the standard exhaust i had to cut the pipe even further back (fig 2) i was very happy with the exhaust so was looking to buy the same one again, but obviously when i take the standard backbox off the other exhast will not reach so i was wondering if it is possible to fabricate a sleeve to do what is shown below (fig 3)

The red bits show where i cut the existing exhaust each time, The green bit is what i want fabricated, basically it sleeves over the old exhaust pipe, and then goes back to the original pipe size so sleeve under the new exhaust.

Why not just go over and over? Are both sections the same size?

Jetex do a load of joiners, step downs etc. on line. Just order one and a pair of clamps.

or you could always go to the local garage and ask if they have any old exhaust pipe you can pinch, if they have one that is either bigger or smaller (depending what size you need) cut a really long bit off, and then just cut slashes in it long ways about 5cm long to allow the end to bend on either side then just exhaust paste and clamp,

ooo and btw i still have the exhaust in my garage that is in the picture above, the aftermarket one that it if your interested
