Exhaust - Cup

I know the subject of which exhaust has been discussed many times but I am specifically after just a backbox for my cup which is single round and at least 3.5 inches in diameter. I know Magnex seems to be a favourite for people and I would like a Magnex but although they do the exhaust style I want not for the Cup\172 Sport which is a little dossapointing for me personally.

Can anyone advise and recommend another one in this style. Comments on loudness and any other details would be great. Pictures if possible would be spot on.

if you want a single pipe that size youd not go far wrong with a scorpion backbox, their stainless, think theire about £175ish, though for another £70-80 you could get full cat back scorpion

yeah mate I have been looking for the same thing, and kept getting told to go for powerflow, mmmm but not my cup of tea.

Also if you go to http://www.needforspeed.co.ukwww.needforspeed.co.uk and look at the technical info for just the backboxes you will see that just the backboxes add about 6-9bhp depending on the car, and I know the mk1 172 adds 8bhp. Plus I have just got a new SYSTEM for mine which was only £286.50 and supposedly adds 17bhp (but we will see). Having it fitted tomorrow, it is a brand new system and comes with a 4" round tailpipe. Will post pictures on Sunday night or monday morning

it wont add 6-9bhp just a backbox and i seriously doubt your full system will add 17bhp is it decatted too ??

Just going by peoples rolling road experiences, what it says in the catalogue and what is says on the needforspeed website

well in that case chuck all the figures away lol mine gave about 12-14 bhp that was with decat

backbox might give you 3 or so full system most probably 6 ish

31.2bhp loss

2nd run with exhaust at RE Performance

152 at the wheel

183 at the fly using the same loss

and aprox same torque



but cant compare really due to been 2 different rrs but needless to say it did increase power

another car with exactly same setup got 154 at the wheels
