engine problems!!!!

  inferno 182.
I recently started a thread regarding the removal of my engine but it moved onto whats wrong with my existing engine problems hence the new thread!
my 182 that ive owend for 9 months now has 46,000 miles with histoy and belts changed at 43,000.
after running it i took it to a garage which we use for our mechanical work and mot's as i run a bodyshop.
they said the noise i could hear was the cambelt was too tight!
they changed the belts and the dephaser pully as it was well done due to the cam belt being too tight!
driving it it felt it had a flat spot low down but didnt take much notice!its started to burn alot of oil and blue smoke when you drive hard!
after getting worse i took it to a garage with a renault diognostic machine to see what the problem was as getting worse!
they told me theres oil sitting on my no1 piston and the piston is shiney and washing(overfueling?)the spark plug has had it!!!
no2 piston is not as bad and 3 and 4 are fine!
im having a comprssion test tomorrow and hope this will clear the bottom end of fault of anything!(burning oil!)
ive got a second had engine if i want it but maybe my engine aint that bad?
i dont want to put another bare engine in my car and bolt on all the bits from mine thats caused this problem!
im hoping its just a failed injector and stem seals for my wallets sake!!!!
any advice please!

Local garage + cambelt changes = trouble.

always used a local garage to me. Never had a problem. Just need to check their pedigree. Its a mate who does mine and i wouldnt trust anyone else to look at it , specialist or not..

Michael woodford in Staines or stone automotive in chertsey are probably your closest specialists.

Check the thread at the top of the page, then tell me you trust them to work on an F4R
