engine management light

has come on! ive just had an exhaust and cat put on(fri 23rd) and everything was fine but today the light came on so i took it to where my exhaust got fitted and all the sensors and stuff is plugged in so its not that. just wondering if there is something in particular that would make it come on?

I take it its a decat etc as well? If so you plugged the second CAT (lambeda) sensor in after the CAT?
If so then this is the problem the sensor has noticed the cat isn't working you need to unplug the sensor and either remove it and block the hole up or leave the sensor in the place and just unplug the wiring.
If not then you've probably just hit the lambeda sensor in which case you need to get under ther car and have another look.
You'll need Renault or a good garage to clar the fault from the computer.

oh right cheers its just gone in to my local renault garage anyway so ill see what they make of it
