Empire: Total War

Firstly I know there is a thread in console chat but hey your damned if you do and damned if you don't!

I really want to like this and I do enjoy the big pitched battles but I really dislike all the growing your township, growing corn, tobacco plants, recruiting an army etc etc I just want instant gratiifcation!

It seems the game is like a million miles deeper than I thought - I just wanna play at soldiers not grow plants

Should I throw the towel in and go back to cod4 lol

I played it for a bit, but it brought my PC to its knees.. so I just went back to 3000 men battles in M2

Have you also played Rome: Total War? I quite enjoyed that for a bit but also got bored of that side of things.... SIMS with soldiers really.

Might give this a shot to see what it is like but I enjoy racing/ FPS more.

Aye it is demanding lol, was getting 40fps with 2xaa on the training battle

which then dropped to 15fps lol on some of the huge pitched battles - odd thing is I couldn't tell the difference if it wasn't for FRAPS!
