Electrical Help Please

i have to put my gas on for my clio to start and even then it doesnt start sometimes 6/10times , instead of just turning the key. My dad seems to think that i cannot start the car at all.... i had the battery checked at it was running at 68% and was unserviceable?

i had a new stereo fitted, and it started flashing and it seemed to drain the battery so i removed it and put the original one back in. Now, it seemed to have stopped at this point and has just started to go back into the stupid method. Its absolutely doing my head in...

Now i dont know 'car' talk but when i try to start it, i get chugging noise but no ignition of the actual engine.

My car is a clio campus 06 plate.

Does it start With jump leads? Could be sparks plugs or battery not offering enough spark. As for stereo. After Market ones sometimes need the batter power and ignition power wire swapped around so it switches on and off with the car.

These cars are common for wiring looms rubbing thru in key places, crank position sensor faults, etc but it could equally be an imobilliser issue or a basic engine problem to. You need to get someone that knows what they're doing to go back to basics with this first mate as guessing isn't cheap: Check for fuel, spark and compression first then go electrical... that's normally the most expensive part!
