Driver Window - Issue

Hi, I have a 2006 Campus and my driver window when closing about 3/4 the way up makes some rather aggressive clicking and cracking type noises. It only makes these when closing the window and I have no idea what the problem is so i ask, does anybody have any idea of what the issue is and how to fix it?

Sounds like it's associated with the window regulator mechanism, could be damaged or something catching at that particular point behind the doorcard.

If you're handy with the tools I'd say pop the doorcard off and have a look, see if there's any obvious damage or foreign object around the mechanism
