Differences between mk1 and mk2 172?

Is it just the bumpers etc and wheels? Or am I missing something?

pretty much yeah, its the face lift version of the original 172, but it put on a bit of weight during the make-over

The interior's nicer on the mk2 as well imo, oh and xenons i presume (apart from cup)

Phase 1 is better

In all seriousness, they are quite different cars from what I've seen, different throttle, etc.

lol, ok here's the list of differences i'm aware of without being byast:-

Ph1 Ph1 exterior and interior - Ph2 Ph2 exterior and interior
Ph1 Cable Throttle - Ph2 Fly by wire
Ph1 Dual Optic Headlights - Ph2 Xenons (exc cup)
Ph1 is lighter than Fullfat ph2 but heavier than cup
Ph1 has 15" wheels, cant remember which, ph2 has 16's like dynamique alloys, but the cup has 15's

Full fat vs full fat the phase 2 has different interior and exterior styling, revised gear ratios, revised suspension, fly by wire throttle, rain sensor, light sensor with xenons, full climate control aircon and some later models also have traction/esp and cruise control.

The Mk2 has some chassic strenghting to let it have the 5 star N cap but its nothing majour.
The phase 1 is the better car IMo than the phase 2 the throtle being a proper cable and having a better suspension setup plus the 15's are cheap.

The Ph1 15's are F1 Cups.
