difference between a superchip and a remap?

Superchip is a brand name. Remap can be understood in many different ways. Really it's chiptuning customised to your vehicle.

Superchips are seen as "off the shelf" always the same mods done within a very safe limit. So no 100% different IMO

give or take, the superchip is basically the same map for everyone (although they can do it specifically for your car)
